Christmas
Christmas was wonderful this year. Everyone decided based on the economy that we should scale down Christmas. We tried to emphasize family instead of the commericalism of it all. We basically had Christmas the 22nd. We did not do all our traditional things like read the story of Jesus and do a nativity play (although I originally thought JD would be in the running for Baby Jesus, but it would have had to go to Drew since he is smaller in size.) It was nice to not have to be a sheep, or angel or hairy Wise Man. It will be great when the babies are older and act it out for us. Christmas was great for us. We played bingo at my grandma's on Christmas day and we took home 5 prizes. So I know we are very blessed.

Online Christmas Card!
Dear Family and Friends,
Merry Christmas! This year has been very busy for us. Jeremiah finally earned his private pilot license and has about a year and a half of schooling to look forward to. He is working for the Electrical Union with Fisk Electric at the City Center project. It will be completed November 2009. Amazingly enough (knock on wood) he has gone over a year without getting into an auto accident, he must have passed his luck to his brother Tom.

Betsie graduated in May from UNLV and started selling gourmet food called Tastefully Simple. (www.tastefullysimple.com/web/bjones2). Betsie’s grandpa past away this summer before the baby was born. She is currently on a leave of absence from Bank of America in order to take care of our new son Jeremiah Daniel Jones II. She loves being a mother now.
JD is a growing little monster. He is learning about the world around him and loves it. He loves his hands right now but gets frustrated when they don’t do what he wants. He is a really good natured boy, well at least as long as there is food in his belly. He is now eating rice cereal (and oatmeal) and can’t get enough of it. He was born just under 9 lbs. and now is 18 lbs. 7 oz. and 25.5 inches long. We love to play with him and tickle him to make him squeal and giggle.
Love,
Betsie, Jeremy and JD

Cousins!
Here are all the Kanet grandchildren. Since Shannah and her girls were in town for Thanksgiving my mom wanted to get a picture. It sure was fun trying to negotiate with 3 babies. Dylan tried hard to help Ellie but mostly choked her into submission. I like that JD has his own "throne" since he was the only one who cannot sit on his own.
JD weighs 18 lbs and 7 oz and is 25 1/2 inches long. He outweighs two of his older cousins (Trevin, 11 months, and Drew, 6 months).
